Privacy Policy

FarmerPad processes the information needed to provide farm record keeping, reminders, reports, account access, and optional AI assistance.

Information we process

Account data includes your name, username, email address, password hash, timezone, sign-in identifiers, subscription status, and security-session information. Farm data can include fields, boundaries, crops, seasons, activities, notes, reminders, expenses, payment status, and payee names. We also process limited technical logs needed for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, store and synchronize your records, calculate statistics, deliver reminders and transactional email, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and respond to support requests. We do not sell personal data.

AI features

When you use an AI feature, the text you submit and a minimized set of relevant farm records may be sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Generic agricultural questions are sent without your farm profile. AI tracing is configured not to capture prompt or response content. Do not submit information you do not want processed by the AI provider.

Service providers

FarmerPad uses infrastructure providers for hosting and databases, OpenAI for optional AI processing, Langfuse for content-disabled AI operational telemetry, Mailjet for email delivery, and Google for optional Google sign-in. These providers process data under their own security and data-processing terms and may operate in other countries.

Retention and deletion

We retain active account and farm data while you use the service. Security logs and failed-job metadata are retained only as needed for security and operations. Deleting your account deletes its farm records and revokes its sessions; limited identity or audit information may be retained where required to prevent abuse or meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile and delete your account in the app. If you cannot access the app, use our account deletion page to submit a request. Depending on where you live, you may also request access, correction, portability, restriction, objection, or deletion. You may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.

Security

We use encrypted transport, password hashing, access controls, short-lived authentication tokens, encrypted mobile credential storage, and restricted production access. No system is completely secure, so report suspected account misuse promptly.

Children

FarmerPad is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
